Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 38-888 regarding the Corrections Officer Retirement Plan (CORP) survivor benefits.

Increases the surviving spouse's pension calculation to the greater of 40% of the deceased member's average monthly salary OR four-fifths of what the deceased member's pension would have been at the time of death if retired.

Maintains that surviving spouses of members killed or dying from injuries in the line of duty receive a monthly amount equal to the deceased member's average monthly benefit compensation.

Requires surviving spouses to file a written application with the plan to receive survivor benefits.

Effective April 16, 2021.
