Increases appointed members of the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission from 14 to 17 members.

Increases the maximum number of appointed members from the same political party from 7 to 9.

Adds three new required member positions: a person leading an indigent defense agency, a person leading a private nonprofit juvenile justice organization, and a licensed psychiatrist or psychologist with criminal justice system experience.

Specifies staggered terms for the three additional members, ending on January 11, 2022; January 10, 2023 (two members); and subsequently as prescribed by statute.
