Amends worker compensation law to require the commission to develop and annually update a list of approved physicians for initial examinations of public safety employees.

For public safety employees (law enforcement officers, firefighters, and corrections officers), the commission shall randomly select a physician from the approved list to conduct examinations, rather than allowing the employer to designate a physician.

Requires the commission to randomly select from the approved physician list for any periodic medical examination of a public safety employee under section 23-1026.

Defines "public safety employee" to include law enforcement officers, firefighters, and corrections officers for purposes of the new examination procedures.

Updates gender-specific language throughout the statutes by replacing pronouns with gender-neutral terms like "the employee."
