Removes the requirement that telemedicine encounters include audio and video capability for physical or mental health status examinations before prescribing medications, allowing examinations conducted pursuant to title 36, chapter 36, article 1.

Applies the modified telemedicine examination requirement to physicians under section 32-1401, osteopathic physicians under section 32-1854, and pharmacists under section 32-1901.01.

Permits prescriptions written through telemedicine programs covered by hospital or outpatient treatment center policies and procedures as an exception to the requirement for prior patient examination.

Clarifies that telemedicine examinations must comply with federal law when used to establish a physician-patient relationship for prescription purposes.
