School districts and charter schools must adopt a green cleaning policy and purchase environmentally sensitive cleaning products by December 31, 2022, with exception if not economically feasible (defined as any increase in cleaning costs).

Department of Education shall determine green cleaning supply guidelines and specifications in consultation with the Department of Environmental Quality and provide them to all school districts and charter schools.

State agencies, universities, school districts and community college districts must purchase at least 10 percent of energy requirements from green sources by July 1, 2026, and existing state buildings over 50,000 square feet must conform to LEED standards by July 1, 2026.

Arizona Commerce Authority shall establish a loan program with $10,000,000 available to provide financing for energy and water efficiency measures in public facilities, with repayment from energy and water savings; program terminates July 1, 2031.

Green Public Schools Task Force established to identify retrofit procedures, recommend green cleaning policies, and make financing recommendations for public schools; task force shall report findings by November 1, 2022, and is repealed December 31, 2022.
