Reduces the maximum duration of employment contracts for chancellors, vice-chancellors, and presidents at community colleges from five years to three years.

Allows district boards to enter into employment contracts with these positions for more than one year but not exceeding three years.

Permits existing employment contracts in place before the effective date to continue until their expiration without being affected by this change.

Applies the new three-year maximum contract duration requirement only to new employment contracts entered into on or after the bill's effective date.
