Department of Economic Security shall plan, prepare, and develop infrastructure to implement a produce incentive program for SNAP enrollees at farmers markets, farm stands, mobile markets, community supported agriculture sites, grocery stores, and convenience stores.

Department shall provide matching monies of up to $20 per participating SNAP-authorized site per transaction for enrollees to purchase eligible Arizona-grown fruits and vegetables.

Department shall conduct research and evaluate the produce incentive program's impact on purchases by SNAP enrollees and Arizona-grown fruit and vegetable producers.

"Eligible Arizona-grown fruits and vegetables" defined as any Arizona-grown variety of fresh, canned, dried, or frozen whole or cut fruits and vegetables without added sugars, fats, oils, or salt.

Bill approved by Governor June 30, 2021 and filed with Secretary of State June 30, 2021.
