AZ SCR1012

Ratifies the proposed Equal Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which was adopted by Congress on March 22, 1972.

Prohibits denial or abridgment of equality of rights under the law by the United States or any state on account of sex.

Grants Congress power to enforce the amendment through appropriate legislation.

Requires the amendment to take effect two years after the date of ratification.

Directs the Arizona Secretary of State to transmit a copy of the resolution to the President of the U.S. Senate and Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.
