• Repeals section 41-3022.20 of Arizona Revised Statutes and adds a new sunset provision for the Department of Environmental Quality.

• Sets the termination date of the Department of Environmental Quality for July 1, 2030, with Title 49, Chapter 1, Articles 1 and 2 repealing on January 1, 2031.

• Continues the Department of Environmental Quality to consolidate environmental management and administration of water quality, air quality, solid waste, and hazardous waste regulation.

• Applies retroactively from and after July 1, 2022.
