Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 28-5802 to expand vehicle license tax and registration fee exemptions for veterans.

Adds new exemption for Purple Heart medal recipients who were honorably discharged from the United States military for one personally owned vehicle.

Purple Heart veterans must submit satisfactory proof of veteran status, bona fide Purple Heart medal recipient status, and honorable discharge to the department on initial vehicle registration.

Maintains existing exemptions for 100 percent disabled veterans and veterans who received financial aid from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs under specified federal laws.

Effective upon approval by the Governor on April 18, 2022.
