Allows mailed early ballots postmarked on or before the sixth day before election day to be counted if received not later than five days after election day.

Requires early ballot instructions to inform voters that mailed ballots must be postmarked by the sixth day before election day to be valid if received after election day.

Clarifies that early ballots are valid if received by the county recorder or officer in charge of elections by 7:00 p.m. on election day, deposited at any polling place by 7:00 p.m. on election day, or postmarked timely and received within five days after election day.

Updates early election board processing procedures to specify that mailed early ballots postmarked not later than the sixth day before election day and received within five days after election day are eligible to be processed.

Effective December 31, 2022.
