Amends section 36-551 of Arizona Revised Statutes to add "Down syndrome" as a condition that qualifies as a developmental disability if it meets other statutory criteria.

Defines "Down syndrome" as a genetic disorder caused by abnormal cell division resulting in extra genetic material from chromosome 21, affecting cognitive and physical abilities and causing developmental issues.

Adds the new Down syndrome definition as definition 22, with all subsequent definitions renumbered accordingly (23-44).

Becomes effective upon approval by the Governor on March 30, 2022.
