HB 2170 Summary

• Requires nongovernmental persons or entities mailing, emailing, or providing digital links to official election documents (voter registration applications, early ballot requests, etc.) to include the disclosure "Not From a Government Agency" in boldfaced, clearly legible print on the envelope or prominently in the electronic message.

• For electronic or digital delivery, the disclosure must be clearly readable.

• For mail or hand delivery, the disclosure must be displayed at a height that is at least ten percent of the vertical height of the document.
