Repeals subsection D of Arizona Revised Statutes section 20-142, which required the Department of Insurance to prepare detailed billing statements limiting examination costs to direct costs supported by itemized documentation.

Eliminates the requirement that persons being examined pay only direct costs of examinations; restores authority for the department to bill for examination costs without the detailed billing statement limitation.

Maintains that examined parties pay examination costs, except adjusters, producers, and brokers only pay if found to have violated statutes; the state continues to pay investigation costs.

Applies retroactively to June 30, 2021, effectively invalidating the billing statement requirements that were in effect since December 31, 2021.
