AZ HB2240

Prohibits county boards of supervisors and election officers from authorizing, establishing, or using voting centers where voters from anywhere in the county can vote; requires all polling places to be located within designated election precincts.

Removes provisions allowing boards to establish voting centers or emergency voting centers as alternatives to traditional precinct-based polling places.

Maintains the requirement that boards designate one polling place within each precinct at least twenty days before general or primary elections and at least ten days before special elections.

Updates election board appointment language in Section 16-531 to reflect the elimination of voting centers and other non-precinct voting locations.

Preserves existing exceptions allowing adjacent precincts to be combined or consolidated under specific circumstances, including when early voter numbers substantially reduce polling place demand.
