HB 2264 - Call Center Relocation

• Requires employers to notify the Arizona Commerce Authority chief executive officer at least 120 days before relocating a call center from Arizona to another state or foreign country.

• Employers violating the notification requirement are subject to civil penalties of up to $10,000 per day of violation.

• Arizona Commerce Authority must compile and distribute a semiannual list of employers that have relocated call centers to all state agencies for use in reviewing qualified tax credit applicants.

• Arizona Commerce Authority must post monthly updates on its website showing the number of call centers in the state, how many receive tax credits, and the amounts of those tax credits.

• Employers appearing on the relocation list are ineligible for any state grants or state-guaranteed loans for five years following publication of the list.
