Schools must post on their websites all learning materials and activities used for student instruction, organized by subject area and grade, beginning in the 2022-2023 school year.

Required disclosures include textbooks, videos, digital materials, websites, apps, worksheets, assemblies, guest lectures, civics assignments, service-learning projects, and teacher training materials, with title and author information at minimum.

Materials must be posted at least 7 days before the school year starts if available, or at least 3 days before first use, with ongoing additions notified to parents 3 days in advance.

Parents retain the right to review learning materials in advance and withdraw their student from activities or classes if materials contain sexual content, violent content, or profane/vulgar language.

Establishes a complaint process requiring written complaints first to the school principal (15-day response), then to the school district or charter governing body (25-day response), before legal action may be pursued; prevailing parents may recover attorney fees up to $15,000.
