• Establishes the Arizona dude ranch heritage trail program within the Arizona State Parks Board to guide and promote working dude ranches in the state.

• Requires dude ranches to meet eight criteria for designation as an "Arizona heritage ranch," including at least 25 years in business, minimum 1,000 contiguous acres, organized horse program, and provision of three daily meals under the "American plan."

• Mandates the State Parks Board make designation determinations within 30 days of receiving an application and allows applicant to pay for creating promotional plaques and signage.

• Permits modifications to designated ranches if the original character is preserved and includes provisions for leased public or private property and riding permits for public land access.

• Effective April 29, 2022.
