Auditor General shall conduct a cost study of Arizona online instruction, with the Department of Education providing necessary information and cooperation.

Cost study shall examine administration, technology, personnel, and curriculum costs; percentage of courses taught in real time by instructors; average spending per course type; and average class sizes for online courses.

Cost study shall analyze school finance formula funding for online instruction students and identify areas where administrative and reporting requirements can be reduced or eliminated.

$150,000 appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2022-2023 to the Office of Auditor General to conduct the cost study.

Section repeals from and after December 31, 2023.
