Establishes a study committee on statewide eviction prevention and housing affordability consisting of 18 members appointed from the legislature, state agencies, county officials, housing authorities, nonprofits, property owner associations, universities, and community representatives.

Committee is led by two cochairpersons (one senator and one representative) and must meet quarterly or more frequently as deemed necessary by the cochairpersons.

Committee shall conduct a comprehensive study on reducing eviction filings, review policies and statutes impacting evictions, explore tenant support systems in justice courts, and gather data on housing affordability issues in Arizona.

Committee must propose statutory revisions and legislation to reduce evictions and improve housing affordability, identify state resources for improving the eviction court process, and submit a report with recommendations by December 1, 2022 to the governor, legislature, and secretary of state.

Committee automatically repeals on October 31, 2023.
