Permits employees or the Arizona Attorney General to file civil actions in superior court against employers who violate this prohibition, with jury trial rights guaranteed.

Establishes statutory damages of $20,000 per violation per employee, with prevailing plaintiffs entitled to recover reasonable attorney fees and costs.

Requires annual adjustment of the statutory damages amount beginning January 1, 2023, based on the change in the Consumer Price Index published by the U.S. Department of Labor.
