Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Title 23, Chapter 10, Article 1 by adding section 23-1605 regarding motor carrier employment status and safety improvements.

Prohibits deployment, implementation, or use of safety improvements by a motor carrier from being considered when evaluating whether a person is an employee, independent contractor, or jointly employed employee under state law.

Defines "motor carrier" as having the same meaning prescribed in section 28-5201.

Defines "safety improvement" as any device, equipment, software, technology, procedure, training, policy, program, or operational practice intended to improve traffic safety compliance, motor vehicle safety, motor vehicle operation safety, or safety of third-party highway users.

Became effective upon gubernatorial approval and filing with the Secretary of State on April 13, 2022.
