• Amends Arizona Revised Statutes sections 36-795, 36-795.01, 36-795.02, and 36-795.03 to regulate kratom products containing mitragyna speciosa plant leaf.

• Defines "kratom product" as a food product or dietary ingredient containing any part of the mitragyna speciosa leaf, and establishes separate definitions for "processor" (who manufactures or sells kratom products) and "retailer" (who sells or distributes kratom products).

• Prohibits processors and retailers from selling kratom products that are adulterated with dangerous non-kratom substances, contaminated with poisonous substances or controlled substances, contain synthetic alkaloids, or have 7-hydroxymitragynine levels exceeding 2% of alkaloid composition.

• Requires kratom product labels to disclose the amount of mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine contained in the product and prohibits sales to individuals under 18 years of age.

• Establishes violations as class 2 misdemeanors and creates a private cause of action for damages, while providing a good faith defense for retailers relying on manufacturer representations.
