AZ HB2606

Removes the restriction limiting school district authority to construct or provide housing facilities for teachers and other school employees to rural districts only, allowing all school districts to provide such facilities.

Expands the permanent teacherage fund to allow school districts to purchase houses, including mobile or modular housing, for use as teacherages for all school districts, removing the previous limitation to only school districts located on Indian and federal lands.

Defines "teacherage" as any housing facilities for teachers and other school employees provided by a school district pursuant to section 15-342, paragraph 6.

Maintains existing provisions allowing teacherage fund monies to be used for maintenance, operation, debt service, and local tax levy reduction.
