HB2675 Summary

• Amends section 41-1750 of the Arizona Revised Statutes to add "antisemitism" to the list of prejudice-based crimes that must be reported to the central state repository.

• Defines "antisemitism" as the definition adopted by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance on May 26, 2016, and adopted by the United States Department of State, including the contemporary examples identified in that definition.

• Requires criminal justice agencies to collect and report information on criminal offenses that manifest evidence of prejudice based on race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, antisemitism, or disability.

• Clarifies that the definition of antisemitism does not diminish or infringe on rights protected under the First Amendment to the United States Constitution or the Arizona Constitution.
