Repeals Laws 2022, chapter 3, section 4, which previously governed 2022 precinct committeeman candidate filings.

Allows 2022 precinct committeeman candidates to designate either the election precinct used before redistricting or the new precinct designated after redistricting, without requiring legislative district number designation.

Permits petition signers to be residents of either the pre-redistricting or post-redistricting election precinct, with the number of required signatures based on whichever precinct requires fewer signatures.

Requires candidates to file nomination papers and petitions by April 4, 2022, and allows candidates who filed with county political party committees to have valid filings if county committee chairs forward their information to the county elections officer by that date.

Establishes retroactive effective date of March 3, 2022, and designates the measure as an emergency law operative immediately.
