Counties with populations under 250,000 (per 2020 census) may use revenue from any county source to meet fiscal obligations in fiscal year 2022-2023, including funds from countywide special taxing jurisdictions.

Counties using alternative revenue sources under this provision may not redirect more than $1,250,000 from its original designated purpose.

Counties with populations under 250,000 must report to the director of the joint legislative budget committee by October 1, 2022 if they used alternative revenue sources to meet fiscal obligations.

Reports must specify which revenue sources were used and the exact dollar amounts redirected during fiscal year 2022-2023.
