Authorizes school districts to spend $1,154,028,997 in local revenues in excess of the Constitutional expenditure limitation for fiscal year 2021-2022.

Required two-thirds affirmative vote in both houses of the legislature per Article IX, Section 21 of the Arizona Constitution.

State Board of Education reported that aggregate local revenue expenditures budgeted for fiscal year 2021-2022 exceeded the expenditure limitation by $1,154,028,997.

Authorization was effective only upon approval by at least two-thirds of membership in each house by roll call vote on or before March 1, 2022.

Without legislative authorization by March 1, 2022, school districts would have been required to reduce pro rata their local revenue expenditures for the remainder of the fiscal year.
