AZ SB1017

Establishes the Citizens Finance Review Task Force consisting of 15 member categories including legislators, agency directors, business representatives, educators, and economists from Arizona's three universities.

Task force must analyze state general and nongeneral fund revenues compared to other states, including tax credits and transaction privilege tax exemptions, and analyze state expenditures and funding levels.

Task force shall make recommendations regarding responsible retirement of existing state debt.

Task force must submit findings and recommendations report by September 30, 2023 to the governor and legislature, and present at a joint meeting of appropriations committees by January 31, 2024, with public testimony allowed.

Task force is repealed on September 30, 2024.
