• Repeals a prior version of section 38-848 Arizona Revised Statutes and amends the statute to clarify provisions regarding the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS) board of trustees and advisory committee.

• Establishes a public safety personnel retirement system advisory committee to serve as liaison between the board and members/employers, with members appointed by legislative leaders and the board chair representing law enforcement, firefighters, retirement plans, retirees, local governments, state employers, fire districts, and tribal governments.

• Modifies the appointment process for one legislative member to the advisory committee by removing the requirement that the member be either a legislator or legislative staff member.

• Maintains existing PSPRS board structure (nine members), investment authority, reporting requirements, and fiduciary duties as previously amended.
