Prohibits physicians from providing irreversible gender reassignment surgery to individuals under 18 years of age.

Allows physicians to provide services to minors with medically verifiable disorders of sex development, including those with ambiguous external biological sex characteristics or abnormal sex chromosome structure.

Permits treatment of infections, injuries, diseases, or disorders caused by or exacerbated by gender transition procedures, regardless of legality of the original procedure.

Allows surgical intervention for minors facing imminent danger of death or major bodily function impairment due to physical disorder, injury, or illness.

Defines irreversible gender reassignment surgery to include specific procedures such as penectomy, vaginoplasty, hysterectomy, phalloplasty, mastectomy, and related surgeries; effective March 31, 2023.
