Cities and towns are prohibited from restricting individuals from running a node on blockchain technology in a residence.

Counties are prohibited from restricting individuals from running a node on blockchain technology in a residence.

Cities, towns, and counties are prohibited from imposing any tax or fee on the use of blockchain technology by any person or entity.

Regulation of running blockchain nodes in residences and imposition of taxes or fees on blockchain technology use are declared matters of statewide concern and preempted from local government regulation.

"Blockchain technology" and "running a node on blockchain technology" are defined by reference to section 44-7061 and as providing computing power to validate or encrypt transactions, respectively.
