• Creates private cause of action for students deprived of athletic opportunities due to school violations, entitling them to injunctive relief, damages for psychological/emotional/physical harm, and attorney fees.

• Protects students and schools from retaliation by athletic associations or government entities for reporting violations, with two-year statute of limitations on civil claims.

• Applies to K-12 schools and institutions of higher education; also prohibits government entities, licensing organizations, and athletic associations from investigating or taking adverse action against schools for maintaining separate female athletic teams.
