Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 36-325 to require that the sex recorded on a death certificate reflect the decedent's gender identity.

Person completing the death certificate shall record gender identity based on the decedent's own identification, unless documents memorializing a gender transition are presented.

If a document memorializing gender transition is provided (including court orders, written instructions, health care directives, clinical treatment proof, or changes to birth certificate, driver license, Social Security record, or passport), the most recent document prevails if multiple documents conflict.

If no gender transition document is presented and the person or majority of persons with right to control disposition of remains disagrees with the reported gender identity, the death certificate shall reflect the gender identity as reported by those individuals.

Allows local registrars, deputy local registrars, or the state registrar to amend the sex listed on a registered death certificate upon presentation of a document memorializing a gender transition.
