• Establishes investigation committees consisting of up to 11 licensed dental professionals in good standing to investigate complaints and conduct investigations on behalf of the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners.

• Grants investigation committees the ability to designate persons to assist with investigations and requires committees to forward findings and disciplinary recommendations to the board for review.

• Changes terminology from "birthday" to "birth month" for license renewal expiration dates across multiple dental professions (dentists, dental therapists, dental hygienists, and denturists).

• Allows the board or investigation committee to request patient clinical evaluations for quality-of-care complaints and clarifies that investigation committee reviews of terminated complaints require board approval.

• Authorizes the board to charge licensees $100 per investigation committee meeting for committee members' compensation.
