Requires gubernatorial candidates to submit the name of their lieutenant governor running mate to the secretary of state no later than 60 days before the general election for joint ballot placement.

Applies this joint ticket requirement to both party-nominated candidates (primary election) and independent candidates filing nomination petitions.

Authorizes the governor to appoint the lieutenant governor to serve as chief of staff, director of the Arizona Department of Administration, or to any position the governor is authorized to fill.

Takes effect only upon voter approval of Senate Concurrent Resolution 1024 to establish the office of lieutenant governor via constitutional amendment at the next general election.

Applies beginning with elections for the term of office starting in 2027.
