AZ SB1326

Allows school districts, charter schools, and Arizona state schools for the deaf and blind to award up to two elective credits (grades 9-12) for out-of-school activities including employment (5+ hours/week), organized sports, STEM clubs, internships, community arts, and college courses starting in the 2023-2024 school year.

Requires student request, parental permission, and school approval before the semester begins for students to receive elective credit under this section.

Elective credits earned count toward graduation requirements and are considered subjects for calculating average daily membership, but the average daily membership for a full-time high school student cannot exceed 1.0.

Directs the state board of education to adopt a framework for implementing this section and post a list of nonprofit organizations and vendors where students' out-of-school experiences may be recognized for credit.

Sunsets December 31, 2025 (repeals June 30, 2025).
