Amends section 36-2901, Arizona Revised Statutes, to expand the definition of "physician" to include persons licensed pursuant to title 32, chapter 13, 14, or 17 (adds chapter 14, which covers naturopathic physicians).

Modifies the definition of "primary care practitioner" to clarify language regarding nurse practitioners and physician assistants, specifying that nurse practitioners must be certified and physician assistants must be licensed.

Changes become effective October 1 following approval by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Requires the Arizona health care cost containment system administration to notify the director of the Arizona legislative council by October 1, 2025 regarding whether CMS approval was obtained.
