SB1368 Summary

• Repeals section 41-3022.12 of Arizona Revised Statutes effective retroactively to July 1, 2022.

• Adds section 41-3027.05 to establish that the Arizona Board of Regents terminates on July 1, 2027, subject to voter approval of a constitutional amendment repealing the board's authority under Article XI, Section 5 of the Arizona Constitution.

• Repeals Title 15, Chapter 13, Article 2 and the new termination provision on January 1, 2028.

• Continues the Arizona Board of Regents to adopt policies, regulations, and rules for state universities and supervise their operations, as authorized under section 41-2955, subsection B.
