Cities and towns must provide the name, telephone number, and email address of an authorized employee in written communications that demand payment of taxes, fees, penalties, fines, or assessments; deny permit or license applications; or request corrections or additional information for applications.

Authorized employees must reply to communications described above within five business days after the city or town receives them.

Cities and towns must print a notice of these requirements on all applications for permits, licenses, or other authorizations they issue.
