Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 23-1061 to add new requirements for insurance carriers and self-insured employers regarding workers' compensation claims.

Insurance carriers or self-insured employers must forward written notification of an injury and intended claim to the Industrial Commission within seven business days of receiving notification from an employee.

The one-year filing deadline for workers' compensation claims is suspended from the date the insurance carrier receives written injury notification until the date it forwards that notification to the commission.

When the commission receives injury notification, it must inform the employee of their responsibility to file a claim with the commission.

Changes language throughout the statute from "after" to "before" in certain provisions regarding reopened claims and surgical benefits, and updates references to "insurance carrier" for consistency.
