SB 1475 Summary

• Expands Attorney General enforcement authority to include elections for members of Congress, United States Senators, and presidential electors in addition to state offices.

• Authorizes the Attorney General and county attorneys to issue written investigative demands, administer oaths, examine witnesses and documents, and issue subpoenas in connection with election law violations.

• Allows the Attorney General or county attorney to initiate pre-suit enforcement proceedings in superior court to issue subpoenas to persons not subject to service within Arizona.

• Defines "person" for enforcement purposes to include government entities and officers under A.R.S. § 1-215.
