Establishes a study committee on statewide eviction prevention and housing affordability consisting of 16 members including legislators, state officials, housing authorities, property owners, landlords, and community representatives.

Committee cochairpersons are designated by the president of the senate and speaker of the house of representatives, with members meeting quarterly or more frequently as needed.

Committee shall conduct comprehensive study on reducing eviction filings, review policies and statutes affecting evictions, explore tenant rights education and court system access, and gather housing affordability data.

Committee must propose statute revisions to reduce evictions and improve housing affordability, identify state resources for court process improvements, and propose legislation addressing identified issues.

Committee shall submit report with recommendations to the governor, legislature, and secretary of state by December 1, 2022, and the committee is repealed October 31, 2023.
