Removes the requirement for the Department of Economic Security to establish and maintain waiting lists for child care assistance, eliminating prioritization by income level.

Repeals the provision that prioritized families at or below 100% of federal poverty level on waiting lists regardless of time spent waiting.

Appropriates an unspecified amount from the state general fund in fiscal year 2022-2023 to the Department of Economic Security to eliminate the current child care assistance waiting list.

Requires the appropriated funds to provide child care assistance to eligible families with incomes up to 165% of the federal poverty level.
