Establishes the Alzheimer's Disease and Other Dementias Advisory Council to examine the needs of individuals with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias and available services in Arizona.

Council consists of 11 voting members appointed by the director of the Department of Health Services, including individuals with dementia, caregivers, healthcare providers, researchers, and advocacy representatives, plus 6 nonvoting members from state agencies.

Voting members serve two-year terms and select their own chairperson and vice chairperson; council must meet at least quarterly with first meeting required within 30 days of member appointments.

Advisory council shall examine trends in dementia populations, establish surveillance systems, evaluate existing resources and services, recommend dementia-specific training, and develop strategies for public awareness, early detection, and improved care.

Council must submit a comprehensive state Alzheimer's plan to the governor and legislature within 18 months of the law's effective date, and submit annual status reports by February 1 each year; plan shall be updated every four years.
