AZ SB1603

Repeals a 2021 amendment to Arizona Revised Statutes section 41-1279.03 and replaces it with the 2019 version of that statute.

Authorizes the auditor general to conduct audits of county elections for state and federal offices on request of the legislature or at the auditor general's discretion.

Election audits may include reviews of voter rolls, election systems, voting equipment, ballot tabulation equipment, and compliance with state law and the instructions and procedures manual issued by the Secretary of State.

Maintains existing auditor general duties including financial and compliance audits of state agencies, performance audits, school district audits, and special audits as designated by the legislative audit committee.
