Appropriates $7,000,000 from the state general fund in fiscal year 2022-2023 to the Department of Economic Security.

Funds must be distributed to area agencies on aging established under the Older Americans Act of 1965 for housing assistance.

Housing assistance is targeted to persons who are at least 60 years of age.

Legislature intends the appropriation to be considered ongoing funding in future fiscal years.

The appropriation is exempt from lapsing provisions under Arizona Revised Statutes section 35-190.
