AZ HB2009

Allows members to make changes to their retirement application before their retirement date and within 60 days after retirement, with changes being retroactive to the retirement date.

Permits a onetime election to modify the retirement application within 60 days after the member's retirement date, but prohibits changes to the actual retirement date itself.

Amends section 38-747 regarding purchase of credited service by modifying payment procedures and limitations on contributions to the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).

Modifies section 38-764 to clarify commencement of retirement procedures and payment of retirement benefits under ASRS.

Allows members who reach normal retirement date to retire without terminating employment if working less than hours required for active membership.
