AZ HB2035

Adds a new subsection allowing the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners to issue a formal complaint and order a formal hearing when it finds sufficient grounds for revocation or suspension after investigation, without requiring a prior formal interview.

Clarifies that formal hearings may be conducted pursuant to title 41, chapter 6, article 10 when the board determines grounds exist for suspension or revocation.

Allows the board to charge the costs of formal hearings to licensees found in violation of dental practice laws.

Maintains existing procedures for dismissing complaints, issuing nondisciplinary letters of concern, requiring continuing education, or entering into consent agreements when suspension or revocation is not warranted.

Preserves confidentiality of patient records and investigation materials, and continues protections for persons making good faith complaints to the board.
