Charter schools must develop emergency response plans for each school site in conjunction with local law enforcement and emergency response agencies, following minimum standards established by the department of education and division of emergency management.

Charter school governing bodies shall solicit input from students, parents, teachers, and other employees when developing emergency response plans.

School district governing boards must develop emergency response plans for each school in accordance with minimum standards jointly developed by the department of education and division of emergency management, and must solicit input from students, parents, teachers, and district employees during plan development.

Amends sections 15-183 and 15-341 of the Arizona Revised Statutes relating to public school emergency preparedness and community participation in emergency planning.
